Pocket Money

There are many places to buy snacks and treats on site, as well as some resources and merchandice in the market place. Please feel free to bring spending money with you.

We are not responsible for looking after your money or your stuff, so remember to keep it safe!

Insurance

Verso Vineyard is fully covered for public liability. You are not, however, insured against personal accident or injury as a result of an accident or loss of possessions.

We therefore suggest those who feel that additional insurance is necessary to make their own arrangements.

Main meetings

There are morning and evening meetings each day. All youth are expected to attend all of these meetings.

‍There are also additional optional seminars and events that they can attend throughout the festival.

Meals

We will be eating together as a group in our marquees. Meals from dinner on Wednesday to breakfast on Monday are included.

Phones and charging

You are welcome to bring your phone to DTI, and there will be charging facilities available in our main marquee.

To use the charging facility you will need to bring a USB cable with a USB A socket (shown below) labelled with your name.

It will not be possible to plug in other chargers or devices that do not use a USB A cable.

Phones should not be left unattended in the marquee and you are responsible for loss or damage of any valuables that you bring with you. Any device left in the marquee overnight will be unplugged.

We do not want phones to be a distraction during the main meetings, if you use them for anything other than taking notes or looking up scripture expect a member of the team to ask you to put them away.

Bag Drop

It really helps if you are able to drop off your kit (especially tents and sleeping bags) before departure. This can be dropped off at the following times

Please ensure all luggage is labelled with your name.

Behaviour contract

Below is a copy of the behaviour contract included in the essential forms. Parents/guardians should go through this agreement with their children.

By sending your child on this trip you confirm that you agree to the rules of this behaviour contract. Failure to follow these rules may result in you being sent home. In such instances parents/guardians will be expected to collect their child from site within 6 hours at their own expense.

  • Be street-wise - don't go off with strangers, don't arrange to meet anyone in dark corners of the site, and at night make sure you go to your own bed (sleep walking is not a great excuse!).
  • Everyone must be back in their tents by the curfew set by your youth leaders (which will typically be midnight). This means stuff like doing your teeth and going to the loo need to be done before curfew!
  • You can only go in your own tent (even during the day). Boys and girls are not allowed in the same tents. You can use our main marquee or venues across the site to meet up.
  • All youth are expected to attend all main meetings.
  • Stay in groups of twos and threes after dark.
  • Follow the instructions of your youth leaders, and make sure you go to the meeting points at the arranged times (such as for meals, and activities).
  • Event wristbands must be worn at all times (you will have two: one for DTI, one for our group) - they are the only way to get into venues. There is a £25 charge to replace lost ones.
  • Remember to drink lots of water, even if it's raining but especially if it's sunny. Should the sun decide to grace us with its presence, please use sunscreen.
  • Strictly no knives, weapons, drugs, alcohol, intoxicating agents or drug paraphernalia is allowed on site, except when medically prescribed. Anyone found in possession of prohibited items or suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be evicted from the site and denied further entry to the event.
